New regulations on lithium-ion batteries

Some carriers have introduced restrictions in air transport of devices and items using lithium-ion batteries.

Certain carriers do not permit the transport of some devices and items using lithium-ion battery neither in hand nor in checked baggage (devices such as hover boards, mini-segways, airwheels or luggage scooters).

Certain electrical devices that use lithium-ion batteries, such as Samsung Galaxy Note 7, can be accepted for carriage in hand luggage, only if they are are turned off and if not charged during travel by plane.

All additional information regarding restrictions in air transport of devices and items using lithium-ion batteries can be provided at your airline or at European Aviation Safety Agency.
