Hand Luggage



General information

Hand, cabin or carry-on luggage is the luggage you are taking with you on board an aircraft.

Airlines individually determine quantity, size and weight of the hand luggage which are limited.

It is usually allowed to take a single hand luggage item of maximum weight between 5 and 10kg while the total of width, height and length may not exceed 115 cm. Size of hand luggage can also be checked using baggage frame prior check-in. Make sure to inquire about hand luggage allowances at selected airline when booking your flight.

Additional Security Measures Concerning Hand Luggage

In hand luggage liquids, gels and aerosols can be transported if packed in the zipped 20 x 20cm transparent plastic bag. Each passenger can bring one zipped transparent plastic bag. Maximum capacity per item carried in zipped transparent plastic bag is 100ml with total volume of 1000ml liquid allowed per passenger.

Flight to New York

It is not allowed to hold sharp metal items, blunt instruments in hold baggage. Additionally guns, firearms, weapons, ammunition, flammable, chemical or toxic substances are prohibited from both hold and hand luggage.
