Belgrade airport is prepared for a busy summer season with many people planning to travel for the first time in over two years. This season passengers will fly to more than 100 destinations thanks to renewal of almost all pre-pandemic routes, 16 new routes and charters to most popular summer destinations. As everyone is excited to travel again Belgrade Nikola Tesla airport is expecting a significant increase in passenger numbers in the coming weeks and has taken necessary measures to handle increased capacities and facilitate necessary processes.

Due to the ongoing works in front and inside the terminal, temporary changes in traffic and passengers’ flows are clearly marked. New Tesla car park on the road to Surčin and free shuttle bus connection offers 800 parking lots. New extension of the terminal with open space gates and travellators for faster movement improves comfort and efficiency and enables segregation of arriving and departing passengers. New centralized security area in front of the passport control has 10 screening lines and state of the art screening technology that allows for electrical devices to stay in the hand luggage during inspection making the whole process faster and timesaving.

In addition to above mentioned efforts, the airport is advising all customers to follow these travel tips for more efficient and comfortable experience at the airport during the busiest season of the year:

  1. Check Travel Requirements

Always double-check travel requirements to and from your chosen destination before you leave for the airport and make sure you have the correct documentation ready at check-in.

  1. Arrive On Time

Check with your airline for the latest information on your flight and arrive when your airline advises. Additionally, passengers are advised to take into account ongoing works on modernization, reconstruction and expansion of the access roads, parking lots and terminal building.

  1. Use available car parks

For longer staying, passengers are advised to use Tesla parking with free, 7 min long shuttle bus ride to the terminal, and with first 3 hours of free of charge parking. Parking P7 right across the Customs Warehouse is also available and for shorter stops, passengers have at their disposal a garage in the immediate vicinity of the terminal.

  1. Keep Travel Essentials Handy

Make sure your tickets and boarding pass, travel insurance, driving license, currency and credit cards are safe but easily accessible. It’s also mindful to carry a charger for your smartphone and have your airline information ready.

  1. Prepare For Security screening and remove liquids

Before reaching security, it’s a good idea to separate items such are your belt, watch, keys, wallets, and jacket. Please pack liquids, aerosols and cosmetics up to 100 ml each in a plastic transparent zip bag with maximum of 1L per passenger and also separate it out of hand luggage. Electrical devices like smartphones and laptops can remain in the hand luggage during security check.

  1. Let’s Stay Friendly & take it easy!

Belgrade airport teams are going to great lengths to make your airport experience as pleasant as possible. Please be mindful to interact with them with kindness and courtesy. We are at your entire disposal and here to help!
